CCEDC Launches Central Clarion County Fall Crawl to Support Local Businesses

CLARION COUNTY, PA — The Clarion County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) is launching the Central Clarion County Fall Crawl, a new shop-local initiative running from November 1 through December 6, 2026, as part of its Clarion County Connect program.

Fall Crawl marks the first community-based event launched through Clarion County Connect, CCEDC's place-based initiative designed to bring economic and community development resources directly into Clarion County communities. The event will encourage residents and visitors to explore local businesses throughout Central Clarion County while supporting local shopping heading into the holiday season.

Businesses located in Clarion Borough, Clarion Township, Highland Township, Knox Township, Limestone Township, Millcreek Township, Monroe Township, Paint Township and Strattanville Borough are eligible to participate.

During the Fall Crawl, customers can pick up a passport at participating businesses or the CCEDC office. Each qualifying purchase at a participating business earns a leaf sticker. Customers who collect eight leaf stickers and return their completed passport to CCEDC by December 7 will be entered into a drawing for prizes provided by participating businesses. Winners will be announced following the conclusion of the event.

“Fall Crawl is designed to give people another reason to get out into our communities, explore local businesses and support the people who have invested in Clarion County,” said CCEDC Executive Director Jarred Heuer. “It's also a great example of what we want Clarion County Connect to accomplish, which involves getting into our communities, building relationships and creating locally driven opportunities for economic growth.”

CCEDC Community Development Manager Sharon DeAndrea will coordinate Fall Crawl as part of her work through Clarion County Connect. DeAndrea works directly with municipalities, businesses and community organizations to identify local priorities, build partnerships and connect communities with resources to move projects forward.

“Clarion County offers an incredible blend of outdoor recreation, vibrant small towns, and local events that make our communities special,” DeAndrea said. “I’m excited to continue working alongside local business owners, community leaders, and residents to strengthen our communities, welcome new visitors, and share the many qualities that led me to call Clarion County home.”

Fall Crawl also provides CCEDC an opportunity to build relationships with local businesses and better understand their needs. CCEDC aims to bring similar events to other areas of Clarion County throughout the year, expanding business and community engagement countywide.

Clarion County Connect was launched by CCEDC as a place-based approach to community and economic development. Through the initiative, CCEDC works directly with municipalities and community stakeholders to identify local priorities, coordinate resources and partnerships, and advance projects ranging from downtown revitalization and blight remediation to housing, infrastructure and public spaces.
