Details
The Clarion Brownfields Area-Wide Plan is a community-driven initiative led by the CCEDC to transform environmentally challenged and underutilized properties into assets that support economic growth, recreation, housing, and quality of life.
Key components of the plan include the revitalization of the Sixth Avenue corridor as a gateway between downtown and the riverfront, and the Eagle Overlook project, which will enhance public access to scenic views and outdoor recreation opportunities along the Clarion River Valley. Together, these efforts aim to create a more vibrant, connected, and resilient community while positioning Clarion for long-term growth and revitalization.
Community Workshops:
The first community engagement workshop for the Clarion Brownfields Area-Wide Plan brought together residents and stakeholders to identify community assets, redevelopment priorities, and opportunities for future investment. Participants emphasized improving connections between downtown and the Clarion River, enhancing recreational amenities, expanding housing options, preserving historic character, and redeveloping underutilized properties. The feedback gathered will help guide the plan's vision, redevelopment strategies, and future investment priorities.
